The New York Complementary & Alternative Veterinary Medical Association (NYCAVMA) is a group of licensed veterinarians who are dedicated to supporting and providing valid continuing education for the complementary veterinarian modalities, including such therapeutic modalities as acupuncture, chiropractic and osteopathic manipulations, herbal medicine, homeopathic medicine, homotoxicolgy, nutritional therapy, massage techniques, physical therapy, and other light and sound therapies.

We are dedicated to:

    • working at the state level to ensure that quality instruction is offered and is equal to the certification level of instruction that is available through the various nationally and internationally recognized training organizations:  International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine, China National Society of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine; American Veterinary Chiropractic Association, and the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy.

    • gaining a voice at the state level to provide support for the licensed veterinarians whose practice includes the use of complementary and alternative veterinary modalities.
